The Foundation of Haven City
Thousands of years ago, the planet of Nyrn was almost nothing but barren desert. There was only one valley habitable for civilization, and this is where the legendary warrior, Mar, founded Haven City. While Haven City experienced prosperity, the surrounding wastelands were being ran by gangs of marauders and raiders made up of criminals banished from Haven City.
Reformation into The Haven Enclave
After some time, the wasteland gangs realized that their best choice would be to work together to survive, so they came together and founded the desert city of Spargus. During this time, Haven City had just begun colonizing the desert using new technology which allowed them to replenish nutrients in the ground and make the desert habitable. The Spargans had a clear distaste for Haven City, as they were almost entirely made up of criminals banished from the city. Spargus launched a propaganda campaign throughout Haven City's colonies, and also sent spies into Haven City itself. As a result of this, the people of Haven City, and the Chancellor of the time, Damus Mar, developed a distrust of outsiders. It wasn't before long that Chancellor Damus Mar reformed Haven City into The Haven Enclave. The Enclave was formed to unite all of the Haven colonies into one entity, grant the Chancellor and the current ruling party more executive authority, and to further separate itself from any outside influence.
The Betrayal of House Praxis and The Spargan War
Soon tensions rose further, and colonies were being raided by the Spargans. Chancellor Damus Mar made a swift decision to militarize The Haven Enclave. This was the first armed conflict The Haven Enclave had ever encountered. The war was long and brutal, causalities numbered in the millions. Soon it was discovered that the opposing political party, House Praxis, had been working alongside Spargus since before the war had started by giving Spargan spies information, giving Spargus funds to sustain the war, and by giving them stolen technology engineered by The Haven Enclave's top scientists. The Elder of House Praxis, Baron Praxis, did not support the unification of the colonies into the Enclave, and believed that any outsiders were untrustworthy and posed a threat to Haven City. Upon learning this, the Chancellor executed order 67, which commanded The Haven Guard to eliminate any opposing political organizations in the event that they were found working actively against the welfare of The Haven Enclave. With House Praxis eliminated, the Spargans soon could no longer sustain their war effort, and The Enclave Military put an end to the war at The Battle of Kelradan Valley, where the last of the Spargan army was destroyed.
The Darkmakers
The planet of Nyrn and The Haven Enclave experienced centuries of peace and prosperity. The planet had been fully developed and modernized by The Haven Enclave; it was a seemingly never-ending golden age, that was until a strange asteroid fell from the night sky and impacted the surface of Nyrn. Inside the asteroid was an illuminated blue crystal which attracted the local insects; the effect the crystal had on the insects caused them to glow the same color of the crystal. The crystal emitted a gas, which was extremely toxic to humans, and would kill someone in a few short minutes. The crystal grew rapidly, and soon entire regions of the planet were covered in it, then Nyrn had it's first contact with The Darkmakers. Alien Starships levitated above the toxic clouds of gas that filled the atmosphere of The Enclave's cities. The ships were a deep shade of purple, and almost seemed to be made of an organic material. Soon, insect-like beings, also purple in color, overran the streets, firing their plasma weaponry into crowds of innocent civilians. The Haven Guard were quick to meet the attack head-on, but the alien technology was too advanced to be able to compete with. The Haven Enclave salvaged what they could from fallen enemies and studied the technology. This gave The Haven Enclave a massive advantage, as they learned how to fuse it into their technology, and how to defend against it. After years of being on the defense, The Haven Guard was finally able to remove the enemy from Nyrn after The Battle of Vairon Keep, where The Enclave's Armored Corps destroyed the majority of the Darkmaker fleet occupying Nyrn, forcing them to retreat. Using the technology salvaged from the battles fought, The Haven Enclave's scientists were able to discover how to travel space. After a decade of assembling a fleet, driving back the Darkmakers, and perfecting the technology they had acquired, The Haven Enclave set out to space to colonize more worlds, and to defend itself from any future invaders. Parts of Nyrn still remain covered in the blue crystal, known as Eco, and the only thing keeping it from spreading is the massive walls erected around the massive fields of the crystal.
Current Time
After decades of research and rebuilding from the war with The Darkmakers, The Haven Enclave's scientists have finally made a breakthrough, and have learned how to harvest Eco and convert it into energy and fuel. This has boosted the economy of Nyrn beyond measure. The Haven Enclave now has the funds and resources to rapidly colonize other worlds, build more fleets of ships, and bolster it's military might in anticipation of the return of The Darkmakers, or the rise of any other threat to The Haven Enclave.
